A Flowers COVID Christmas Card – 2020
Christmas, December 2020
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Covid ran rampant, killing the mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
When my test came back positive, I really got scared
The children were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of vaccines danced in their heads;
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and me in my mask
Had just settled down for a little grabass
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
it was a march, a demo, saying, “black lives matter”
I sprang from my bed to see see them go by
It was funny how they made the PROUD BOYS cry
Away to the window I flew like a flash, but first
into the bathroom to have a wee slash
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
made me fondly recall your ample bossom long ago
Gave a lustre of midday to objects below,
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
Trumpelstiltskin driving a sleigh and eight tiny rein-deer,
With a little old driver so orange and so thick
I knew in a moment he must be ….(not BIDEN but rather BYEDON)
Well, I think you get it…2020 has been a foul and distasteful little year.
Here’s hoping all ISB alumni have a much safer and brighter 2021.
